Volaris is the first commercial airline to offer regular service to San Bernardino International Airport
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO – April 10, 2017 – Volaris (NYSE: VLRS and BMV: VOLAR), the ultra-low cost Mexican carrier that operates in Mexico, the United States and Central America, announces two new routes that link the important Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Oaxaca with Southern California. Tickets for the new routes are now available for purchase.
Volaris will connect Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on June 28 and Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) with San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) on June 29. The new routes are aligned with Volaris’ strategy of increased connectivity to the West Coast – a move that complements the previously announced routes of Queretaro-Los Angeles and Leon/Bajillo to Ontario, CA. Volaris’ decision to add service to such an important geographic area of the U.S. follows through on its mission to provide convenient travel options to its key VFR (visiting friends and relatives) market on both sides of the border.
“The launch of these new routes strengthens our presence in the Greater Los Angeles Area and provides our customers with additional options for visiting relatives, business travel and leisure. We strive to combine affordable fares with routes that previously featured no scheduled air service.
